THANKSGIVING AND MORE....
Is it just me, or does everyone else get lazy when winter comes?! I can't even seem to update my blog..at first I thought I was to busy to update it, but no I was lying to myself, I'm just super lazy when it's cold.
For Thanksgiving this year we went to Tooele to spend it with my family. Lots of people and lots of food equals good times. My little brother Dillon wasn't able to make it, he had to assist in a couple surgeries that day, so that was a downer. Can’t believe he's already been home from his mission for six months..I'm thinking this is a hard time for him cause he should have been just getting home right now. He seems to be doing well for the most part, the leukemia has returned but I believe they have it under control again.
Skylar ended up walking off the roof a little over a week ago while putting up Christmas lights with his brother in law. He hurt his back pretty bad....but getting this kid to go to any kind of Dr. takes a miracle...well that or his mom :) She took him a few days after and he is doing much better now.
We are done Christmas shopping. I was one of the many who ventured out at 3 am on Black Friday to fight for a good deal. I love black Friday I think that shopping that day is so much fun...call me crazy! When I worked at Best Buy it was so awesome to see how long the line could get and watch all the people fight for what they had stood in the cold for all night. I must say Sam's Club with out a doubt is the best place to go shopping on black Friday. Not only to you get to wait inside for them to open but they serve a big ol breakfast. Not that anyone can really eat at 5 in the morning, the day after Thanksgiving. Crazy thing about this day is people literally KILL to get what they want. Mer told me about an employee getting trampled to death and someone pulling out a gun and killing someone else...Are you kidding me? well my venture was not even as crazy a few girls got mad at me for getting the pea coat they had been standing in line for. A few other girls wanted to make sure I was buying the coat while I was standing in line to check outt. Sad thing there was only four of them and they were all large but I bought one anyways and ended up selling it to Skys mom, who is much more well endowed then me so she fits into it great.
We went to Preston's Festival Of Lights tonight. It was fun for the boys to see fireworks and a Parade of light with Santa at the end. Parker thought it was great and Ryder loved it! We also went to Skys little sister dance recital today...only in Preston would they have a dance recital outside in the freezing cold, in the middle of main street, road closed and all. She did a really good job!
Skylar hard at work, the day after he hurt his back.
Our Christmas tree..We added black this year, Parker put the little ornament that says LOVE and he is so proud of it!
Me and Sky on our way to see Twilight opening night. The little teenage girls sitting next to us giggled the whole time cause they thought Sky looked like Edward...He was so out out it from being on pain pills he had no idea what was going on. I think he looks nothing like Edward!!(I didn't mean for that to sound bad!)
Skylars Grandparents' eleven year old weimaraner had puppies..only one survived and she is so cute!
Ryder fell in love right away..Parker can't slow down fast enough to care. There are bigger and better things at Great Grandmas, like basketballs and cousins!
My nephew Elijah six months old. First Thanksgiving, he even ate the plate!
I think I should have taken off Ryder's shirt for this meal!
Me, so excited to eat Thanksgiving dinner!!
Me and Sky's good friend Joey Bradshaw Died on November 20Th of a heart attack, 34 years old. We will miss him so much!

Oh come on! Best Buy is the best place to shop on Black Friday! :) Where's your loyalty!
Yay for an update. I wouldn't even think to venture out on black friday too many people. I hate crowds. I am glad you guys had a wonderful thanksgiving and you got your christmas shopping done the next day.
I was glad to see you post again...I go through withdrawls when anyone takes a long time to post. I get lazy in the winter too...mostly in the morning I don't want to get out of bed...my husband either, I think he is late to work every single day in the winter. Cute pictures!!
Oh my gosh! I know Joey and his wife! I haven't seen them forever, but I went to high school with her - she was just a little younger than me and Joey was in my singles ward. I can't believe he's gone. How sad - I hope his family is doing ok.
Well wow. It finally happened. A new post. Hopefully I won't have to wait another 2 months for another one. :) So, I have to say, Ryder looks exactly exactly like your side of the family. to a T. And I can't believe Elijah was eating Thanksgiving food at 6 months old, and he looks exactly like Chris. Black Friday is the best day to shop. It kicks off the Christmas season! One day I will have to get the whole story about Sky falling off the roof. That sucks so bad that he hurt his back, but good thing it wasn't worse than it is. Your tree looks beautiful. I want to see Twilight again, so we should go together. I want to see it with a female, no offense Russ. And I am sorry to hear about your friend passing. He was so young, and to have a heart attack? Tragic.
I for sure have loyalty to Best Buy! Best place to shop and work!:) Yeah Mer I want to see it again too! I think Ryder looks just like my family as well, but so many people on Skylars side say different...but they haven't seen my brothers. And Elijah is starting to try and walk at six months, he is such a cute kid! Joey was not in such great health but he was really trying to get that way, guess it was just his time to go :(
Dezi, how that heck are you!?! I hope Sky is starting to feel a little better. And, hope everything is going well with Santa Claus coming to visit and all? Has Parker been a good little boy? Tell him that Aunt Robin wants to know.
