HOBBS FAMILY UPDATE
THANKSGIVING AND MORE....
Is it just me, or does everyone else get lazy when winter comes?! I can't even seem to update my blog..at first I thought I was to busy to update it, but no I was lying to myself, I'm just super lazy when it's cold.
For Thanksgiving this year we went to Tooele to spend it with my family. Lots of people and lots of food equals good times. My little brother Dillon wasn't able to make it, he had to assist in a couple surgeries that day, so that was a downer. Can’t believe he's already been home from his mission for six months..I'm thinking this is a hard time for him cause he should have been just getting home right now. He seems to be doing well for the most part, the leukemia has returned but I believe they have it under control again.
Skylar ended up walking off the roof a little over a week ago while putting up Christmas lights with his brother in law. He hurt his back pretty bad....but getting this kid to go to any kind of Dr. takes a miracle...well that or his mom :) She took him a few days after and he is doing much better now.
We are done Christmas shopping. I was one of the many who ventured out at 3 am on Black Friday to fight for a good deal. I love black Friday I think that shopping that day is so much fun...call me crazy! When I worked at Best Buy it was so awesome to see how long the line could get and watch all the people fight for what they had stood in the cold for all night. I must say Sam's Club with out a doubt is the best place to go shopping on black Friday. Not only to you get to wait inside for them to open but they serve a big ol breakfast. Not that anyone can really eat at 5 in the morning, the day after Thanksgiving. Crazy thing about this day is people literally KILL to get what they want. Mer told me about an employee getting trampled to death and someone pulling out a gun and killing someone else...Are you kidding me? well my venture was not even as crazy a few girls got mad at me for getting the pea coat they had been standing in line for. A few other girls wanted to make sure I was buying the coat while I was standing in line to check outt. Sad thing there was only four of them and they were all large but I bought one anyways and ended up selling it to Skys mom, who is much more well endowed then me so she fits into it great.
We went to Preston's Festival Of Lights tonight. It was fun for the boys to see fireworks and a Parade of light with Santa at the end. Parker thought it was great and Ryder loved it! We also went to Skys little sister dance recital today...only in Preston would they have a dance recital outside in the freezing cold, in the middle of main street, road closed and all. She did a really good job!
Skylar hard at work, the day after he hurt his back.
Our Christmas tree..We added black this year, Parker put the little ornament that says LOVE and he is so proud of it!
Me and Sky on our way to see Twilight opening night. The little teenage girls sitting next to us giggled the whole time cause they thought Sky looked like Edward...He was so out out it from being on pain pills he had no idea what was going on. I think he looks nothing like Edward!!(I didn't mean for that to sound bad!)
Skylars Grandparents' eleven year old weimaraner had puppies..only one survived and she is so cute!
Ryder fell in love right away..Parker can't slow down fast enough to care. There are bigger and better things at Great Grandmas, like basketballs and cousins!
My nephew Elijah six months old. First Thanksgiving, he even ate the plate!
I think I should have taken off Ryder's shirt for this meal!
Me, so excited to eat Thanksgiving dinner!!
Me and Sky's good friend Joey Bradshaw Died on November 20Th of a heart attack, 34 years old. We will miss him so much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYDER!
One year ago on Oct 10th 2007 @ 10:02 a.m. Ryder Robert Hobbs was born. He came in at 6lbs 14 oz 21 inches long.
His Story...
on the 9th of oct. I wasn't feeling very good so I went to bed early. I woke up a few time during the night, but didn't think anything was wrong. Sky went to work at 7the morning of the 10th. I got up and cleaned the house some. Around 8 I started feeling contraction. not gradually but full on hard core right from the start, every two minutes. During each one I thought I was going to die, but in between them I thought to myself these are not even real. So I finally convinced myself to call my Dr. but I would need to wait till the women center opened at nine. finally nine came around and I called, told the nurse I thought I was in labor but I was not due for another month. She knew who I was because I had spotting throughout my whole pregnancy. She was trying to transfer me to labor and delivery...whom I should've just called to begin with but it wasn't going through. She ran over to the hospital to tell them what was going on and they said come in ASAP. I called Skylar and told him that I thought I was in labor and the hospital wanted me to come in..he took it lightly because he thought they would just stop the labor once again. He told me his mom would come in a little to get me. I wasn't having a contraction at this time so I said that would be fine. I ended up getting more house work done and I got in the tub with Parker. I was in so much pain at this point, Parker new something was wrong(p.s. the bath doesn't help) If you know Parker he is a fighter. He fights with everything I try to do. So I turned to him and told him he was not allowed to fight today. I knew this alone would not work so I said a little prayer that he would do what I told him. We washed up got out and I got Parker dressed, hair done, teeth brushed w/o a fight. I packed a few things in a bag and started doing my makeup (I didn't want to scare anyone) I called Skylar again and asked where is mom was, he said she was on her way. I could not do my make-up I was shaking so bad. Sandra came to get me around 9:20. When she came in I was not having a contraction so she thought that I was fine, we put in the car seat and off we went. I had a few contractions on the way to her house where we were meeting her mom(skys grandma) and Skylar to take Parker. when we got there I was crying a little the pain was so bad and sky went and got some towels in case my water broke. I still thought they would stop my labor and so did he. He said that he would finish up some work and come down. (Sky has to work, seven other people don't work if he doesn't) We left Parker and headed for Logan. I was having contractions one right after the other at this point and Sandra called the police to get an escort. They said that they do not do that and they are sending out police to pull us over if we are speeding. I called labor and delivery to tell them I am on my way but couldn't talk so Sandra told them they said they would be waiting in the parking lot. We stopped at every red light from Smithfield to the hospital in Logan. What we didn't know at this point is that Skylar had called his dad who he works for and told him that Sandra took me to the hospital, his dad told him to drop everything and leave..so he was just minutes behind us getting stopped at every light as well. I thought I was going to throw up so Sandra rolled down the window for me, but I didn’t. Which was a good thing, imagine seeing some lady throwing up out the window of a speeding car. We ended up passing three cops that were going the other way all together..we knew they were looking for us. so at about 9:40..good timing, we drove up and they were all waiting. They got me out of the car. They said since my water had not broken that we had plenty of time, one of the nurses said it was way to early for the baby since I was hardly showing. Sandra told her I carry my babies in the back but that it was still a month away from my due date. They wheeled me in and I got changed in the bathroom by myself, thank you I knew I could do it. Then they laid me down. Every person known to man was in the room and all I wanted was for someone to give me drugs!! Dr. fowers came in who is not my dr. but I knew him he had stopped my labor a few weeks before. He checked me and said you are an eight and he could feel the babies head coming way down. So he said let me check you again real fast and...yes with the same gloves he checked me and said you are a nine. So at this point I asked if I could still get an epidural..he looked at me and it was like everything went in slow motion, he said yes but I knew that he was lying so I wouldn't freak out. He said let me check you one more time..same gloves people that is how fast this was all going. He said you are a nine and a half. So in comes the nurse with the IV I know that she is speaking to me but I have no idea what she is saying ...until she gets to the part of "is it okay if a student nurse in training puts in your IV" The horror stories from my friend Merrilee made me scream no at her but he still came over and started to put one in. in-between my wrist and elbow on the inside of my arm..what kind of place is this first off. He put it in during a contraction and it blew the vain I looked at him and I said "missed!"..in this mean horrible voice. I'm sure he went home crying. All this only took less then a few seconds. I told them I wanted my epidural and the dr. was checking me again..once again same gloves..he did not have time to change them. He looked at me and said, "you are a ten and the baby is coming out right now. You can get your epidural and it won't even kick in before the baby is out, or if it does kick in baby might not be out for another hour. Just a few pushes and he is out and you are done. I know you can do this." What the Hell is he saying..is this him telling me I have to push out this baby with no drugs not even an IV in my arm...screw you sir I am taking the epidural. As I am trying to sign the paper which I cold not do the Dr. tells me he needs me to push. Once again sir you are not the one in pain here so say what you want but I am about to die! One of the nurses came over to my bed side and held my hand turned my head and told me to look her in the eyes and to concentrate on the color of her eyes and nothing else. She had green eyes, just thought I'd let you know. Then my water broke. I turned and Dr. McKenna was there(pediatrician)and he said just push him out. I started to push. All of these things were going threw my head that I had seen on tv Like the burning and pressure, that they talked about. His head was out, no time to suction I pushed again and then one more time and he was out. 10:02 a.m. everyone was over trying to get him to breathe..as horrible as this sounds I didn't care what they were doing I was still in so much pain I just wasn't prepared to be in just as much pain after as I was during. Then the dr. looks at me and says lets get the placenta out..if I would have had a knife he would have been dead! Sky came in just in time for Ryder to go to the NICU. He missed the whole thing! He thought that I had an epidural..he was so surprised that I did it w/o one. I do not recommend this, and it will not happen again. I have pre-ordered my epidural for next time. Ryder stayed three days at Logan Regional then was life flighted to Mckay Dee, where he spent about two weeks before he came home.

Boys' Birthday Pictures
On Saturday we took the boys to get their birthday pictures done. We've decided to get birthday pics every year in September even though neither of the boys have a September birthday. Parkers is at the end of August and Ryders is at the beginning of October. we thought that if we do it in September one month after Parkers and one month before Ryders we only have to tackle it once. I think they turned out great..Ryder always does a good job of letting anyone take his pic...Parker on the other hand is so hard to get a good picture of. So I have been preparing him all week, pretending that I am the photographer and trying to get him to smile. On the way to get them done I broke down and went to bribing. I hate going for pictures having to pay for them and not getting one good one, this is what always happens with Parker and I get so frustrated with him. So I told him he will get a lolly pop if he smiles real big and sits still for the pictures. Surprisingly he did pretty well I think. We also got a free 16*20 of the boys so I am so happy that we got good ones for that. The prefect treasure(last picture of Ryder) we got the same one done for Parkers first birthday, when we compared the two boys it was so crazy to realize that Parker was that little once and that in no time Ryder will be as big as Parker, which will make Parker even bigger...they grow up way to fast!

SCARIEST DAY EVER!
So on Sunday while at Skylars grandmas house in Franklin Idaho, Parker and one of his cousins Conner were bouncing two basketballs next to the new patio that was just put in. We had told them that they were to stay on this patch of patio to play. We went back to talking when we all looked towards the road. What caught are attention was a Semi truck going way to fast down a not so busy street. Then I went numb when everyone jumped up and started screaming, I had no idea what was going on. The numbness made my eyes go blurry when I realized Parker was headed toward the semi in an attempt to retreve the basketball that had rolled into the road. the semi did not slow even a little. Skylars grandma screamed for Parker to stopped as the basketball was hit by the Semi..Parker was inches away. He could have reached out and touched the big rig. The semi drove right on by. Parker had listened and stopped right before getting hit. I wanted to throw up! I have never experienced anything like this in my life. The truck driver came back by about an hour later after more family had come to visit. Skylars grandma was so upset she was telling everyone what had happened. A few minutes later the semi again driving way to fast started to come back by, a few of skylars uncles and his grandma started screaming at him and they ran out to the road to stop him. Skys grandma told the driver that he almost killed her three year old grandson, that he was going way to fast, and wasn't even looking at the road. this is a small town so everyone new once the truck was stopped the driver. She told him to slow down. He was upset at the fact that she was telling him to slow down so he put the truck in gear and slammed on the gas almost running skylars grandma over. I am still shaking! Skylars dad owns a semi trucking company and Sky works for him, so we are around semis a lot. But They have never seemed so big until I saw Parker standing in front of a moving one. Semi trucks won't hurt you, they will kill you. the patio is placed far from the road, I know that Parker is fast but it really was less then a few seconds and he could have been gone. Parker knows not to go into the road but he is only three. So we obviously turned it into a lesson for him. He wasn't even scared it didn't faze him in anyway when that truck drove by. What am I going to do with this kid?!

Parker jumped all night long!
Our Parker P turned three years old on August 20TH. We went and played at willow Park. Then we went home and set up his new trampoline that he got for his birthday. He loves jumping on it. Parker and Skylar even spent the night on the tramp.
Cousin Hadlee playing on the tramp
Ryder at Parker's birthday Party...he just ate a cookie if you couldn't tell.
Parker Birthday cake
Parker going down his giant slip n' slide...Ryder also went down in his birthday suit but the picture was not appropriate :)
Ryder swimming at the party...it took me a second to realize that he does not have a Binky...it's a ring pop! Who the heck gave him a ring pop?
Ryder ready to party!
Parker showing his new Spiderman stuff...he needed a nap!
Parker and his friend Ryker
Grandma and Grandpa Flippenece(Skylars mom and Dad)
Parker blowing out his candles.
We celebrated Parker's 3RD birthday at Grandma Saxtons house on Saturday. We had a giant water slide, kiddie pool, Water balloons, and water slingshots. Everyone seemed to have had a pretty good time. Parker was cranky because he was tired and needed a nap! He got a lot of new toys that he loves to play with. lots of his cousins and his friend Ryker came to the party.
It is so crazy to think that I have a three year old, am I even old enough to have kids? Not to mention that Ryder will be one in October! Time goes by way to fast when they are little...there is so much I want to do with them before they grow up, just seems that every year there is more to do and less time. Parker starts pre-school on the 2ND of September, I am so excited for him but way nervous at the same time, If you know Parker no explanation needed! watching my baby boys grow up so fast makes me...well baby hungry(shh don't tell Skylar) Merr and Russ brought their little baby girl Kate to the Party, she is eight months old and so cute and little. I never thought that I would want a little girl, my plan was to have four boys and they would all be best friends, and such gentlemen. But thanks to Merr my plan has changed, bring on a little girl! In a few years of course.

SUMMER UPDATE
Parker waiting for the American Flag to come by in the Idaho Rodeo Days Parade
Ryder LoveD the Parade!
Parker and Dad at the Rodeo days carnival....next year Ryder will be able to go on the rides.
Summer has once again gone by so fast. I feel like we have done so much this summer. Not one weekend wasted. But at the same time there is still so much to do. Parker is turning three on the 20Th of this month...I can't believe it. in two months Ryder will be one! It honestly feels like I just left the NICU at McKay Dee's hospital with him. At the same time I feel like okay bring on number three.
Well Ryder has been crawling for a couple of weeks and he is into everything. Parker thinks and acts like he is two going on sixteen. Parker and I both start school this month and I am way excited for it. Skylar is still working for his dad trying to build his own business and he seems to be doing really well at it.
Dillon my little brother (see earlier posts) is doing really well. His cancer seems to be in remission for now, but he will still have to take oral chemo for the rest of his life to hopefully keep it that way. The rest of my family is doing good, my parents moved to Tooele a little while ago and I like they are liking it.
So I have Breaking Dawn the forth and final book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyers. I am scared to start it cause I know that I won't want to stop...and with two kids you can barley get a page done without stopping.

For my 25TH birthday me and Skylar went to Bear Lake with his whole family. We had a lot of fun. Parker is always on his best behavior when he is outside...but we still have to keep a real close eye on him. Ryder loved the water, and he ate most of the sand. Skylars mom made me brownies and even though I was so full from all the great food we ate, I still managed to get at least three of them down me. Turning 25 was a little easier then I thought.... running after Parker all day I basically forgot it was even my birthday for the most part.
